Bacopa or Bacopa Monnieri is a perennial, flowering herb from the Plantaginaceae or the Plantain family. It’s a non-aromatic herb that displays a creeping growth pattern and is commonly found in wetlands all across the world. Packed with powerful natural chemicals, the herb has been used in traditional Indian medicinal system – Ayurveda – for various health issues.
Bacopa is also known with several common names. The most widely known ones include brahmi, water hyssop, Indian pennywort, herb of grace, and thyme-leaf gratiola.
